Our History

The Western Wake Woman’s Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer charitable organization and proud members of:

  • The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) and

  • The North Carolina General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWCNC).

WWWC (formerly Cary Junior Woman’s Club) was founded in 1950 by women dedicated to improving the lives of others through volunteer service.  Today, our members continue the work of actively serving people living in western Wake County.

Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love
— Martin Luther King, Jr.
