Our Parent Organizations

General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC)- the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational, international women’s volunteer service organization – was founded in 1890. GFWC has more than 100,000 members actively engaged in volunteer community service in approximately 4,000 clubs across the globe. GFWC members work locally to create global change by supporting the arts, preserving natural resources, advancing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging civic involvement, and working toward world peace and understanding.

GFWC of North Carolina (CFWC-NC) unites member clubs into a statewide charitable organization of volunteers for the promotion of education, community service, fellowship, and leadership development. GFWC-NC is subdivided into 9 districts and consists of over 150 clubs with nearly 8,000 members. WWWC is included within District 6.
